The Fed's Decision to Hike Rates
The consensus was that fed was gonna go 50 basis points and then all of a sudden we had a couple banks blowing up. Powell did exactly what we thought he was going to do or they were going to do you know hate by 25 but he had to differentiate very clearly between the fed and the treasury providing financial stability for the banking system as well as back to monetary policy. He specifically said uh let's see here inflation remains too high, labor markets are too tight and he also said price stability is his priority.
