I'll Never Say America, I Will Always Say New York

i always feel like i told a mess when people ask where i'm from, because i never know how to answer this. Maybe it's the english, like a staidness coming out of sort of the over the top humility our people have. I accept that in america, but i think there must be some kind of lack of self awareness to be able to put that to one side if you are outside your country and being asked where you're from. When the shaman in the mountains of peru says, where are you from? Surely you should have the self awareness to say where he doesn't care what the difference is between property taxes in north dakota and new jersey.
