How I Learned to Analyze Simple Data
I prefer to start my analysis very simple. So I still conduct this exploratory data analysis that my, maybe second statistics class in college taught me to do. And it turns out just simple linear regression actually goes a long way in discovering patterns in the data. But you don't want to start with something overly complex because otherwise you sort of get lost in the details and you can't really interpret a complex model very well.
