Are You a Data Journalist?

i think the only way we move forward in this hyperpartisan, you know, ultra polarized time that we're in is empiricism. A line of thought that i find myself gravitating toward is, let's be as empirical as possible. And your work comes from a thoroughly empirical place, i would say, would you agree? I don't call myself a journalist. I call myself an academic who does public facing scholarship which kind of like rides the line between being a journalist and being an academic.
