Socrates's Argument Is Based on the Idea of Gods Who Are Both Good and Evil
Socrates argues that the gods are essentially good and do no harm. He says it will be your own choice, your own actions, which bring ruin upon you. Socrates shows this tripartite model of the soul in his explanation of the three classes of the Greek state as he sees that there's essentially three classes of men in any state.
