Sally Kohn: I was literally like, I don't want to deal with this. But after going to that retreat, I was like, okay, you know what, I can actually talk to people about this. My school is really not equipped where our school is actually really supportive of us in our position. She says parents have to drum up their courage and take their reins themselves.Kohn: The way we silence people is by making them isolated. And the courage part is, it's, when you're risking your kid, your relationship with your kid, it's really hard to screw up that courage.
