I think like a common way of using the term imagination, people automatically assume that there's something insubstantial to it. And so I mean, from an early age dad had me reading kind of the philosophy of mind stuff that's become the foundation of the field of modern neuroscience. In neuroscience what we should do and this is an essay here in 1951 is kind of like assume that all of consciousness and brain activity is reducible to the actions of kind of neural nets. So I think there's a good case to be made that we have taken that project as far as we can in some areas and many things still remain a kind of a great mystery.
