The Neoliberal State of Dubai
The current British Conservative Party really sees Dubai as not only a place that they should look to for like lessons on how to reorganize the British economy. The fact that Britain had the CEO of DP World on the advisory committee post-Brexit suggests something which is kind of disturbing but true, which is that people see Dubai and they think of it as a wonderful place. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad, I think authoritarian capitalism that is seen as effective is still looked to by many governments as a load star for self organization.
