The late bronze age was an incredibly cosmopolitan and interconnected place. Ships laden with trade goods made their way from greece to the levant to egypt. Boats went up and down the nile ind the euphrates. Caravans criss crossed the roads and tracks, tying together a huge portion of the eastern mediterranean and nearer east. This remarkable world was linked in ways both large and small. The sailors grunted and heaved with the effort. They had already made hlf a dozen stops between cana cyprus and now the aegean. And they had half a dozen more before turning around and heading for home.
