What It Means to Be a Leader?
Former health secretary Rory McIlroy talks about his time in charge of the NHS. He says it was 'unmanageable' and he had to devolve power away from the center. His view is that we should not treat healthcare systems as if they're different from any other system or institution. It's a mixed blessing, but I think when you talk to people in the health service now, they see it as a mixed blessing.
