MICA and Crypto Asset Regulation
MICA is a gap filling regulation. It will only apply to crypto assets that are not already subject to other existing European regulation. MICA applies to the issuer or service provider regardless of whether it is established within or outside the EU. As long as a crypto asset is offered within the union or admitted to trading on a trading venue in the union, then MICA will apply to its issue.
