The Effects of Violators on Language Learning

Yan Jing and Guillaume published a paper last year looking at how quickly newborn babies, also known as neonates, learn language. They could see that after just five hours in this world, babies could detect the difference between a vowel being played forwards like this, and backwards like this. It demonstrates something that has never been shown before, is that the brain latches onto these new phonemes.
