State Level Wetland Authorities
State and UT level wetland authorities are expected to play policy making regulation capacity development. Several states have gone a step further so for example I would cite the case of Tamil Adho and Nutha Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh they have also constituted district level communities. In future I can envision that if all 800 plus districts have effectively functioning district wetland committees much of these you know there would be access to regulation policy making and other functions right at the district level.
