JetBlue Expects a Challenger Summer for Operations
The FAA has officially admitted to being understaffed in the new air traffic controllers in New York area. They only expect about 54% of staffing needed to be in place. As a result, they're allowing airlines to reduce schedules by up to 10%, suspending, use it or lose it slot rules at the three main New York airports. Despite this, JetBlue expects a very challenging summer for operations, especially in New York region.
