For the last 30 years, white students with a f q t scores of 105 who have gone to college have had only a 50 50 chance of getting a b a. Having a b a does not confer much prestige any more, unless it comes from an elite school. Not having a b a is a badge of second class social status, unless one is in the bill gate, steve obs category. To be just a high school graduate sounds very bad these days. And it doesn't sound much better if you have an associate's degree from a community college.
