According to the interview, we quote anyone can make the whole apparatus in 15 minutes with a jackknife and a marking brush. The Western man describes taking the board in your lap across from another person and each person then grasping what he called the little table today as we said we'd call that the planchette. He told the reporter that the communication starts with the use of yes or no and then progresses to spelling out more detailed replies to questions. But the account reads some remarkable conversations have been carried on until men have become superstitious about it.
