Mahavira and Goshala

Mahavira went to raj kaha, then capital of magata, which we visited an episode seven of this season. Goshala was so desperate to become our hero's disciple that he renounced clothing. Mahavira banned his supporters from speaking to goshala and his supporters because he didn't want them to join this heretic. And then there was a magical duel between mahavira and goshala, which up with goshala's power bouncing back on to him, after which he died. Is any of this true?
