The last 15 months of quantitative tightening from the Fed has been somewhat just offset by the Treasury General Account draining to zero. And now we're at a point where they can't really kick that can, and so if when the debt limit gets passed, I mean, right now it's just all political theater. What they're doing, what you call printing money is putting an asset and a live offsetting liability on their balance sheet. But is that expansionary? Is that inflationary? Maybe, maybe it is.
