A lot of what Amazon does sort of follows in the Walmart model, which was so disruptive to the sort of retail sector in the United States. A lot of people need things that are as low priced as they can get them. Even people who make a lot of money often do not want to buy everything that is like nice. So you have these like price pressures that just other retailers cannot compete with.
