Is the World Disenchanted?

I am interested to hear what you think of the idea, which i think is quite call in these discussions, that the modern world is in some way disenchanted. I hope i've given you enoughso this claim has at least got intuitive plausibility. Human beings love to participate in the enhancement of meaning and life,. This connectedness, this sense of connectedness. If human beings deeply love this in the bones of their psyche, they are going to find anything symbolic, and that can beanan object or an act that enhances it. They're gong to find it intrinsically valuable for its own sake.
