socket.com is an open-source, peer-to-peer messaging service that's being developed by Facebook and Twitter. The company has been working on the idea of a web PWA for some time but only just started testing it this week. "I want us to eventually be able to do the same things that we're doing in a native app," says Mark McCaffery, head of product at socket.com.
