One of the things i've noticed is that there seems to be this aversion to placing central lines and a lines because, ah, you don't need to monitor in s v o two. I feel like somehow we've moved away from looking at some of these what i feel are key measures. We should not focus on one single variable - lactate levels can also throw them away as alactate but don't look at them in isolation. And when you integrate bldlacoput with an excessive stress responte it could become very helphful. It was a good piece by doctor Vincent about how lactic acid may be helpful in septic shock cases.
