The Different Types of Number Marking in Different Languages
In Dixon's sort of light theory theoretical framework says that number is realized on core arguments of the verb. Free pronouns are most likely to have number marking even if the language doesn't care about number otherwise person affixes on verbs in some languages can be a little disentangled from each other. Some languages defaulting to a preferred interpretation when it's not clear and your pronouns might make different number distinctions than your nouns yes in ancient Greek for example or some of the Indo-European languages while there were dual verb forms in some places you would get dual nouns had plural verb forms for example.
