The Relationship Between Stress and Learning
Some research suggests that stress might not even be a hindrance. It might actually be helpful for memory encoding, he says. When people are positively aroused, they tend to remember better than those who aren't arousal-mediated. And so if we're having an emotional response to a situation, we may get a little bit stressed by that. Even if it's not super bear scary, it might be a little bit threatening. But actually that seems to have a positive effect.
