Russia's Decision to Place Tactical Nuclear Weapons in Belarus
Kazakhstan, home to 3 million ethnic Russians, has been traditionally one of Russia's closest allies. There have been moves by President Tockeev of Kazakhstan to distance the country from Russia and Putin. A senior Russian official said Russia may consider withdrawing its tactical nuclear weapons from Belarus if the US and NATO end their hostile policy in their words towards Moscow and Minsk.
