Introduction
The people had come to this place from all over britain, trecking along frozen ridges and taking small boats along the icy rivers. The sun would cast its last dying rays on the collection of enormous standing stones where the ancestral spirits dwelt. And now, as the sun set on the winter solstice, the veil between the living and the dead would grow thin enough for the new honored dead to pass through joining their predecessors on the other side.
