How to Camp in Africa

We camped in places that we would probably not ordinarily pick, like car parks in small villages or towns. We built really the truck for Africa in warm climate. And yeah, you're right. We have tended to gravitate towards cold places in winter. Cold, wet, windy conditions. You can't cook inside with just too many jaws and things. There's no indoor living space apart from the rooftop tent when it's too windy. So we've had quite a few nights where we've just been forced to camp in the double cab, rolling the seats back - which is like being on an easy jet flight. But rubbish. Reclined the seat like this.
