The Last Act of the Book
Carolyn finds this note in the stacks of the library that's signed father and it directs her to a specific book in the library. This book has directions on how to make Like like a potion basically that can give you like perfect clarity of memory so she takes it. It turns out that father while speaking with Carolyn's actual parents was saying a bunch of oblique stuff that her parents wouldn't really pick up on but it's clearly basically just father recording a message for Carolyn to come back and listen to after the fact. The film is about an eight-year-old American child who doesn't understand anything about anything, especially grown-ups talking.
