Psychology has interpreted resemblance in families as nurture. One group is twice as similar genetically as the other group. Parents and offspring are only 50 % similar genetically, so from a genetic point of view, you don't expect it to be much higher than that. The correlation between adoptede parents raised the kids from the first few months of life, and their adopted kid's weight is zero for these two groups. So what about birth parents and their adopted away kids? They correlate exactly the same point four.
