The Disruption of Fine Art

I think people like you more when you make something out of an object that's shouldn't be made out of. I couldn't help but think of the contemporary Chinese ceramicists, Leo Wang, who makes disposable plastic objects out of porcelain. It is a material that can be made to look like something that hasn't been touched by man and indeed isn't touched by man within his manufacturing process. As a result, it has often very shiny, beautiful surfaces and textures that you kind of feel in awe of looking at. You want to touch them. And we haven't gone in so strongly for showing the replacement of natural materials with plastics. There's a few examples of tortoises
