The Benefits of Napping for Shift Workers

There's so called nap paradox, in which people who report napping on a regular basis have worse health. But when you think about it, that could well be because they have poor sleep at night and therefore experience lots of day time sleepiness. People who have high levels of basine inflammation might be more sleepy than the general population. The paradox, of course, is that if you take people, and especiallyif the're short on sleep, you have the nap an appropriate time of day then you experience all those benefits of napping I mentioned earlier.
