The Importance of Sleep and Nutrition

Athletes who sleep less than eight hours a night have a 1.7 times greater risk of injury, according to the literature. Fueling and sleep absolutely are key to optimal performance and also minimising injury risk. As training workload goes up, fueling must go up to meet that output. And where injury risk heightens is when we underestimate as high outputters, people that are active all the time, how much fuel we need.
