The Connection Between Horror and Science Fiction

The connection between literary horror and the horror you see in movies on television is much closer than it is between fantasy literature or science fiction. Whenever there's a media franchise, that's going to increase book sales. I think that's done a lot for horror fiction probably in the last couple of years. Fantasy is a lot of fantasy on the screen, but it's all franchise fantasy. Nobody is adapting Marvel movies from a fantasy novel that pre-exists outside the Marvel universe.
