How Did That First Issue Fare?

The first issue of Rollingstone didn't sell well. The magazine tried to be their own distributor, which they realized right away was not a good idea. They gave up a pretty significant chunk of their margin to that disdistribution company. But in return, they were able to grow, grow, grow,. like from issue number two or three. And then they started selling pretty well.
