The Relationship Between Christianity and the American Experiment
White christians are a smaller portion of the population than they have ever been in american history. As their demographic power has shrunk, i think there's that sense that they need to do something to cling to an unquestioned dominant group. The wars in euroch and afghanistan have something to do with thus,. as wewe found ourselves unable to win those wars, it creates a sense of, again, a defensiveness. And insecurity, we want to reassert something good about America. So when people are looking for a guage with which to express their desire to reassert American identity, that the language at hand is the language of christian nationalism.
