Turkey is one of the largest economies in the world, which is part of the reason why it's getting so much attention in the news. Even over the past two decades of relatively controlled inflation and strong growth, the country is not what you would call a safe haven. Political tensions and a perceived inability to manage a crisis means that most institutions want as little to do with turkey as they can possibly manage. Altogether, this gives turkey an average score of three point eight out of ten.
