The Rise and Fall of the Pastorate

Would you find a kind of rate of leaving the pastorate that you read about sometimes today? Would you have found that 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago? I don't know the answer to that. Some of that may be due to the higher expectations that younger people, at least here in America, seem to have of life than their parents, their grandparents, generation had. Those are the guys who show up in the biographies that we read about.
