The Paradox of Successful Relationships
I think we hold on to things rather than express it and then that builds over time. I was thinking about how to really have successful love whatever that might be defined for people but I really see it as the freedom to feel like we can be ourselves. Most of us want the other person to go first in a relationship so there's a courageous thing you know most of us want them to take the risk but then we end up in a life waiting for other people. The idea that commitment is toxic stems from religious beliefs because we're so afraid of being betrayed, she says.
