Corner and Davis had soon got sick of Skiffle as it developed. They liked the blues music that formed its basis, but Corner had never been a fan of Lonnie Darragon's singing. And what Donnegan saw as a collecticism, including Woody Guthrie's songs and old English musical songs, Corner saw as watering down the music.
