The Thesis Is the River
You wrote, as I've aged, I have more time for tenderness. For the poems that are so earnest, they melt your spine a little. And when you say, I know one shouldn't take poems apart like this, but the thesis is the river. What does that mean? What is the thesis word, or the wind? Yeah, like the original idea,. This is still the wind, it is still the river, it isstill the elements. Those are, that's still it. We're back at the natural world, metaphors and the longing.
