Birth Doula - What's the Difference Between the Two?
Birth doula is a term used to describe a support role that is not focused on medical interventions and medical advice. Society Focuses on and talks about birth and death as physical journeys so, you know, there's sort of this adage of like well as long as the mother and baby are alive then it was a good birth. Same with death as long as this person that died in the ICU or at home had a pain-free death which for me very clearly is woefully neglectful and and sort of harmful and Kind of gross That we let that be taught in medical school and a nursing school in that vein.
