The Ten Virgins in the Song of Revelation
The song refers to Armageddon, a climactic battle between good and evil. Revelation depicts the saints in heaven wearing golden crowns as an act of words. In Matthew 25, we have the parable of the 10 virgins where you have the wise and the foolish virgins. And that gets referred to in the song when they are trimming their wicks.
