The Souls of Black Folk

Before he graduated from Harvard with his Ph.D., W.B. Du Bois did a little more than a year, maybe about two years abroad in Germany. He studied at the university there in Berlin and had tutors who were ardent German nationalists. A country should be a folk. The souls of black folk. We have to respect black and brown folk. And we have to get white folk to understand that they have a racial identity.
