China's world view is that the world is run by a very small number of very big countries, and two masse more than any other. So with all the attention on how power such as france have responded to howe has china responded to it, we have not seen tremendous expressions of solidarity with france. But then it made sense that australia would rather be america's vassal than an equal partner of another mid sized country, france. There is a sense that ch China doesn't like siding with losers. And i spoke to one prominent chinese scholar who said that france lost face.
