Mendelssohn's Sonata in E Minor
This is mendelsohn in his stormy and violent voice. Once again, in this sonata form movement, mendelssohn will be obsessed with the minor key. His second theme is back in e minor, just like in the first movement. The key to this music working is its dynamic contrast and variety of articulations.
