Egg and the Innkeeper

I started to key in on something, especially with perspective of what we know is coming. I think an egg is just mistaking identity here. So far, I haven't caught Egg in a straight up lie yet. But it was an interesting thought that I had was does Egg not realize that Dunk is assuming that the innkeeper is his mom? And even further does the innkeeper do talk about her boy. How long has Egg been there? How long has like a trench kit? Is he really this stable boy?
