The Great Divorce
The great divorce is a brilliant argument for why there really can't be a free, total free rejection of God. He makes it starkly psychologically clear that none of the people in the book who end up dead are freely rejecting the love of God. And he himself didn't seem to notice this and yet George McDonald always did notice this. That's why George McDonald was brilliant on the issue of freedom.
