The Redeemer of Slavery

The redeemer is a slave market term. It means so on, who buys back someone out of slavery. The kinsman redeemer was a title and role of your rich uncle or grandfather. He was responsible for making sure the family property and people the blood line didn't fall into slavery. Redemption was a completely different term than what you do when you have sin and want to be free from it. A term that described what attonement has always been about: Atonement with sacrifice and redemption.
