How Do You Know if Someone Is Going to Be a Star on Camera?
i didn't want to interview a hundred people. It's another kind of stylistic thing that i don't like about music documentaries. The casting took probably a year to figure out who ta who to bring into that room. And watching them have to grapple with the music was really revelatory for me. Where did that concept come from? To play the records in the time and shoot their reaction is so brilliant.
