Transness and the Critique of Cisness
Gender involves invention rather than a discovery of something that was already there. So the ways in which we sometimes treat trans and queer subjects as if they have to make a compelling sense of their gender, misses the fact that patients also come to us with experimentation. And again, I think beautiful to end on a way, in a way, instead of thinking about experimentation, generativity, you know, is so important.
